Founded in 1987, Howard County Library System’s Project Literacy provides for the educational needs of adult English language learners and native English speakers in Howard County. If you are 18 or older and do not have a degree from the U.S., you are eligible to participate in class or one-on-one with a tutor. The best thing is that all classes are free! All you need to do is to fill out an enrollment form, take a placement test, and start learning!

If you want to learn English, obtain citizenship, improve your work skills, explore career options, earn a high school diploma, or improve your reading or writing, we have a seat for you!  Come join HCLS Project Literacy’s diverse group of teachers and learners working together to achieve goals in an inclusive community.
