Searching the catalog, borrowing from other Maryland Library systems, or suggesting an addition to HCLS' collection.
Search the Catalog

To perform a general keyword search, type your terms in the “type your search terms here” box. For more specific results, click Advanced Search, then fill in as much information as you know in the left panel. Results display in the center panel, with the most current and popular titles heading the list. You may sort by year, title, or author. Click on a title for a full view with item details. If you are still unable to find what you are looking for, feel free to contact us here!

Borrowing from Other Maryland Library Systems

If HCLS does not own an item, use Marina, a free, statewide method for requesting materials from other public libraries in Maryland.

Suggest an Addition to HCLS’ Collection

We welcome your suggestions for books and other materials to be added to HCLS’ collection. Please check the catalog to see if we already own the item before you submit a title suggestion.

To suggest a title for purchase, please complete this form.
