Homework Help

If you or your child need help with homework, we have multiple free-to-use resources online and at your library. Every HCPSS student has an automatic A+ student account by using their student information or library card. Their account gives them access to books, STEM activity kits, chromebooks, and more. Educators are offered an Educator library card through the A+ partnership, which allows you to borrow library materials for longer without overdue fees.  

Students are also given free access to Brainfuse HelpNow, which includes live tutoring in English and Spanish, feedback on writing assignments, study guides, and more. You can also download the Brainfuse HelpNow app on your mobile device for fast access to their services. 

We also offer group study rooms at your library if you need a place to complete group projects or collaborate with classmates. You can use computers, software, and a variety of printers for free to complete your assignments. 

Research tools 

Get live homework help, prepare for a test, and generate ideas for research projects. 

• Get help with live tutors seven days a week from 2 to 11:55 pm via Brainfuse 
• Research a project with Gale in Context Elementary, Middle, or High school 
• Learn or study a foreign language using Mango or Little Pim (ages 0-6) 
• Practice tests and tutorials, including SAT and ACT, through Learning Express Library and Petersons Career and Test Prep

• Makerspace: Boost your projects easily using our soundbooth, 3D printers, Glowforge laser cutter engravers, large format printer, and more. 
• Make use of computers, software, and printing at your local library branch. 

Groups, classes, and events 

Collaborate and learn with your friends. 

• Teen Time: Work on homework, hear from local professionals, and more in a fun, welcoming, after-school environment at the East Columbia Branch.
• History Day: Get help with your projects from our instructors.
