Celebrate Disability Pride Month

Jul 16, 2024 Addison Landers
Happy Disability Pride Month! This July, we’re honoring the history, achievements, and experiences of the disability community.

The Library is joining disabled people everywhere in embracing each person’s uniqueness as we mark the 34th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

People with disabilities are the largest and most diverse minority, representing all abilities, ages, races, ethnicities, religions, and socio-economic backgrounds. This week we’re featuring more than 340 titles from the HCLS collection to remind us all of how far the disability community has come, and how far we still have left to go in our ongoing work to become a more inclusive world.
